Planned features for the next release
While GoldPriceOne 1.1.1 is still dawdling around in review, we have been considering what might come next.
Our favorites so far are: A widget for iOS and macOS, integration of our own push service - which might be somehow more complicated than we thought it was - just because of data privacy and collecting data.
Some chart features like a 30, 100, 200 day line or something like that.
Then there are some questions that need to be answered: Would it make sense to use GoldPriceOneMobile on the iPad or on Apple Silicon Macs?
Is someone using Apple Vision Pro and would use our gold price info app?
How many days are left until we can extend the historical charts to 1 year (as you might know we do collect the data and host the API ourselves to avoid any 3rd-party dependencies as good as possible)?
What languages should be added to the app? Japanese? Korean? Polish? Schwytzertütsch*? Tons of questions, tons of ideas.
If you have any request and/or better ideas what you'ld like to see with one of the next updates - feel free to drop us an email.
* Yes, that exists and it's one of the four official languages spoken in Switzerland

Okay. Problems solved.
It looks like the cloudflare issues are solved and everyting is running fine again. Less than an hour - respect to the cloudflare team. But we'll keep an eye on our update mechanism...

There is good news and there is bad news
Let's start with the bad news. Currently cloudflare.com has some issues. Unfortunately, this means that gold prices cannot be updated regularly. We usually update the prices of gold every 5 minutes. Right now we're unable to provide the current gold price but we are trying to resolve the problem - somehow. We increased our update interval to 15 minutes and may go up to 30 minutes. As soon as the cloudflare DNS is working again properly we'll go back to the 5 minutes interval.
Good news are: Update 1.1.1 of GoldPriceOneMobile passed the Apple review and is ready to be launched today. But not before the issues are solved.

More improvements with Update 1.1.1
Another sneak peek on our next update to GoldPriceOneMobile our iOS gold price info app. We made some changes to the gold charts view. Most prominent change is the color (this means colour, if you're from the UK) of the chart. It's gray now, because of 'why not'*. Then there will be to tiny circles pulsing within the chart. Those little pulsing racals indicate the lowest gold price (red circle) and the highest gold price (green circle) in the chosen time period.

Finally, there are the two numbers you might be interested in - the chart view lowest price and the highest price of the time period chosen (the picture shows the 6 months time period for historical gold prices).
*Actually it is gray because we think that one can easily spot the direction of the gold price (up or down) from left to right. And if it's neither up nor down - it would be gray anyway.

Working on GoldPriceOneMobile 1.1.1
We're currently working on an update to version 1.1.1 of GoldPriceOneMobile – the iOS version of our gold price info app. There are some UI improvements planned. For example the 'you line'.
The 'you line' shows your local time, your local timezone and the time difference between your local time and the London time (GMT). Additionally there will pop up a little lock symbol when the market is closed.

We'll also update the gold price charts view and maybe the gold price calculator.

Sorry, but we had a server downtime
Today we had a server downtime of approximately 4 hours. Of course all servers made a booboo. Website down, emails down, api down, everything else down, but could be worse. Thank god it's Saturday and the London market was closed, too. So you probably haven't missed anything.
We would like to apologize for any inconvenience caused, anyway.
Also – a big thank you to the support team at the data center.

The best type of gold price alerts these days
Within the last two day the best gold price alert was our self-renewing moving up alert. But what does this type of alert do? Glad you asked!
The moving alert uses the current gold price and you set a percentage margin and decide if you'ld like to be informed when the price drops below this margin or rises above this margin. As soon as the alert's triggered you'll be notified and the alert renews itself with the now new current gold price but the same direction (up or down) and margin.
The GoldPriceOne moving alerts are the best and most convenient way to watch your gold investment grow.
Unfortunately, moving alerts are a feature only available within our GoldPriceOne PLUS subscription - available as annually or monthly subscription. Luckily pricinge starts as low as USD 0.99 (monthly).
