Feature explained: Gold price
alerts
posted in GoldPriceOne features
The price of gold is constantly changing. It rises or it falls. Sometimes it doesn't really move - it just changes by a few pennies. This is where the GoldPriceOne price alerts are very useful.
Our app - GoldPriceOne - offers four types of price alerts you might find pretty useful. There are simple above and below alerts for the price you set. And there are to special types of alerts: The moving alert and the tunnel alert - which are available with a PLUS subscription, for example.
The 'above alert' is useful if you want to sell gold for a higher value than you bought it for. It's also called a take profit alert letting you know if your desired price is already reached. To set it up click the 'bell icon', click on 'new alert' then select the green 'up symbol', enter your limit price, and finally simply click 'create alert'.
On the other hand you might be interested in a falling gold price. This is what the 'below alert' is for. It's set similar to the 'above alert', except you have to choose the red 'below symbol'. Once the gold price falls below this limit GoldPriceOne let's you know. As a pro you'ld call this a stop loss alert.
But what if the price of gold is moving sideways with minimal peaks - more or less on a flat line? Well, this is what the tunnel alert is made for. To set it up you choose the orange 'up/down symbol' and set the percentage using the slider. The slider allows you to set the margins between 0.1% and 5%. If the gold price is moving out of the defined corridor GoldPriceOne sends you a price alert.
Finally there's the moving alert. It's set up similar to the tunnel alert - just choose the blue 'repeat symbol' instead of the orange one. Additionaly you must set the direction by choosing the up or down symbol. Once set the moving alerts will renew itself until you delete it from the alerts list.
Both - tunnel and moving alerts - are available with the PLUS subscription. However you can download and use GoldPriceOne for free at Apple's App Store.
If you prefer using your iPhone for your gold price alerts: Check out GoldPriceOneMobile. It offers the same features and functionality on the go.
